Owning a small business has always been a part of the American Dream. COVID has hindered the ability for many small businesses to operate and thrive, some of which sadly have been forced to permanently close, losing both their income and their dream. Wear Local is working to help keep local small businesses, artists, and employees working and earning an income. Your purchase helps to keep alive the dreams and living wages of so many severely hurt small businesses one business…one artist…one dream at a time.
Our mission moving forward is keeping the American Dream alive with the youth in our community. Our goal is to ensure every kid has supplies, clothing, and even shelter that are less fortunate. We want to show the youth the importance of small business and give them the resources to succeed. We give 50% of our net profits back into the community by giving back to non profits that help youth that are less fortunate. So when you wear our brand you can do it with pride knowing you helped impact a kids future.
COVID has changed what students need to adapt with learning supplies . Wear Local’s funding & resources will be used to help support and grow the youth community.
Our background on why we wanted to help the youth stems from when I was a kid. I lived on my own when I was 18, went to school, and worked at night to pay for rent. I wanted to own a business since I was young but didn’t know how to get started. I lacked resources, funding, as well as experience. When first getting into business we always wanted to give back to the community. It really opened my eyes when we did a coat drive and 400 brand new coats went away within hours. I didn’t realize how many kids were walking around with something we take for granted such as a jacket in Minnesota winter. So with the pandemic being over we immediately shifted over to help the next generation. Our goal is to help kids that are less fortunate.
